Moss Creek, Day use Area in LBL

Land Between the Lakes or locally known as “LBL” has a multitude of “hidden” and “secret” spots and trails to discover. Moss Creek doesn’t necessarily fall in one of those categories but can still presents itself most of the time as a secluded day use area with a beautiful rocky beach overlooking Kentucky Lake.

Tall trees offer plenty of shade through out the day with picnic tables and permanent grills to spend an inexpensive day by the lake with friends and family.
People mainly come here to swim or fish and enjoy well spend time in nature, hike on one of the trails that run into Moss Creek and enjoy the scenic view. In the evenings, while gazing at the water, you can whiteness stunning sunsets as sailboats and barges pass by causing ripples.

To the best of my knowledge, this beach and all of LBL is dog friendly. I have never seen any leash law signs and people often bring their friendly furry companion alongside with them.

While the main entrance by car is only accessable during April 1st until October 1st, the area can be accessed through out the year by hiking one of the trails that lead to Moss Creek.
