How I fell in love with photography

My heart started beating for photography back in 2008, when I still went to school for Graphic Design in Cologne, Germany. At this time, I had been introduced to Photoshop, I believe it was CS3 at that time, and absolutely loved photomanipulation. My friend and classmate Vicky, who even happened to be my neighbor at that time – another great example of how small the world is, or maybe even of paths that absolutely were meant to cross – had been dabbling  around with photography and asked me to model for her. At first I wasn’t quite sure about it but thought to myself, -“hey why not?”

Afterwards we sat together, picked out our favorites and she started editing them. Baaam, I looked like a model I thought. 😀 It was pretty cool to have some “nice” pictures of yourself but more so I was intrigued how easily an ordinary person can look extraordinary with a little more make-up than usual, studio light and a little photoshop. So I started assisting her with her photoshoots, modeled for her a few more times and before I knew it I was photographing myself.

In the meantime we both have progressed quite a bit. You should definitely check out her recent work at www.felisharight.com
